Megan Matthews, LISW, is a holistic psychotherapist and co-founder of Creative Transformations: Integrated Approaches to Healing. In addition to offering individual and family therapy sessions at Eastwind Healing Center, specializing in services for adults and adolescents experiencing anxiety and depression.
My work is to support you in creating a life you love with therapy sessions designed to deepen your connection with your own innate wisdom and to assist you in transcending barriers to living with purpose and joy. My practice is based on the belief that within each individual lies the seeds of personal transformation. Our work together will focus on supporting you in discovering and developing your own power to create a life that works for YOU! Within this framework I view my role as one of facilitating this process of growth and transformation, inspiring and encouraging you as you discover your own unique path.
With each individual or family, I tailor my approach to best meet your unique needs and goals. My intent is to provide a safe space for you to begin to deepen your own awareness and understanding of yourself, as well as to provide strategies and tools that can be easily integrated into a daily routine. In order to create the balance and peace you desire, we will work together to identify your “undesired” thoughts and beliefs (those which are acting as a barrier to more joyful living), and then begin to transform these thoughts and beliefs through a practice focused on integrating traditional talk therapy with holistic psychotherapy. Alternative healing techniques such as EFT, HeartMath, mindfulness and meditation practices and instruction, Creative Visualization, Visual Journaling, Visioning, and Creative Journaling are incorporated into our sessions as you so choose.
Areas of specialization include:
- Stress Management
- Grief and Loss
- Pregnancy, parenting, adoption, and fertility-related concerns
- Issues affecting children and adolescents, including school-based anxiety and depression
